Qualifications Recognition - Ireland hosted a conference to highlight the opportunities that have been developed for the recognition of foreign qualifications in Ireland and to seek to develop such opportunities further. It was attended by representatives of various national bodies and organisations.

The National Qualifications Authority of Ireland is the Irish centre for the recognition of international awards, known at Qualifications Recognition - Ireland. The Authority represents Ireland in a European Network of centres known as ENIC/NARIC (European National Information Centre/National Academic Recognition Information Centre) and NRP (National Reference Point) which promote the recognition of international awards throughout Europe.
The aim of this website is to provide information on the recognition in Ireland of qualifications from other countries.
The National Qualifications Authority of Ireland has established a National Framework of Qualifications (for further information click here) which enables the comparison of Irish qualifications to qualifications from other countries.

If you have completed a qualification outside Ireland, you may wish to have it assessed in order to gain employment or undertake further studies in Ireland. If you hold an Irish qualification and wish to have it recognised abroad for employment or further studies, we can refer you to the appropriate authorities abroad.
